The short version

Each treatment comes with a 5-year transferable warranty, and we give you the written terms before work starts.

The warranty is backed by Roof Armor, and it applies to either soy-based treatment we use, APEX-1132 or Roof Reboot. When the job is done, you get a warranty card with your job report.

Read those terms before we start. If anything isn't clear, ask us. We'd rather you know what's in them now than get surprised later.

Why the warranty runs 5 years

A single treatment can buy an aging shingle roof up to about 5 more years. The warranty runs 5 years too.

When the 5 years are up, the roof can be treated again. Treatments can be repeated every 5 years for up to about 15 extra years total. Each treatment comes with its own 5-year transferable warranty. Every re-treatment starts with a fresh assessment, since the roof still has to be a good candidate. More on how long rejuvenation lasts.

If you sell the house

The warranty is transferable. Here's how to get ready before you list.

  1. 01
    Tell your agent

Let your listing agent know the roof was treated and when. Agents can find more on our realtors page.

  2. 02
    Ask us about the transfer

There is no form to fill out and no fee. The warranty goes with the house to the new owner.

  3. 03
    Read up on selling

Buyers and their inspectors ask about older roofs. Read more about selling a home with an older roof.

What can void a roof warranty

The list below is general. The written terms we give you have the real one.

Roof warranties often exclude things like:

  • Physical damage from storms, hail, falling limbs or other impacts
  • Other trades cutting into the roof, like a new vent, skylight or solar install
  • Repairs made by someone else without telling us first
  • Problems that were there before treatment, like failed decking

Ask us to walk you through the exclusions before work starts. If something isn't clear, we'll explain it in plain words. You can also use our list of questions to ask before you hire anyone.

What a warranty can't do

Rejuvenation is preventive care for shingles that are still sound. It doesn't fix failed decking or missing shingles, and a warranty won't turn an end-of-life roof into a new one. That's why the owner checks every roof first.

Common questions

Is a roof rejuvenation warranty transferable?

The Roof Armor warranty is. Each treatment comes with a 5-year transferable warranty backed by Roof Armor. It moves to the new owner with no form and no fee. On a multi-unit HOA or townhome job, each address gets its own warranty.

What happens when the 5-year warranty ends?

You can have the roof assessed and treated again. Treatments can be repeated every 5 years for up to about 15 extra years total, as long as the shingles are still sound. Each treatment comes with its own 5-year transferable warranty.

Does the warranty cover roof leaks?

Rejuvenation is preventive care, and it isn't a leak repair. What the warranty covers is in the written terms we give you before work starts, so read that part first. See does roof rejuvenation stop leaks for the honest answer on leaks.

Will roof rejuvenation void my shingle manufacturer's warranty?

That depends on your shingle maker's terms. Check your original shingle warranty paperwork, or call the manufacturer before treatment. There's more on this in does roof rejuvenation void my shingle warranty.
